Understanding Chronic Stress, Burnout and Exploring Ways to Rest and Refuel (presented by CMHA)

Chronic stress and burnout are tackled in this workshop. Such factors and characteristics as organizational culture, role clarity, ambiguity, overload and
conflict will be identified and examined – as well as their roles in contributing to or alleviating work stress – both organizationally and individually.
Key Learnings:
• Identify the risk factors for burnout.
• Recognize the impact and “wear & tear” on energy levels.
• Explore evidence-informed strategies to rest and refuel.

Jenny-Lee Almeida is a trauma-informed mental health educator and mental health advocate with more than 17 years of professional experience and
practice in community mental health, advocacy, and suicide intervention. She is currently employed as a bilingual mental health educator with Canadian Mental Health Association and as an affiliate SafeTALK Instructor, ASIST, Suicide to Hope trainer and mentor with Living Works and is a board member with Linck.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

This is a FREE workshop intended for all professionals working with children in Chatham-Kent early years settings.
